Shane Turgeon

In cooperation with the Gandalf Tattoo Studio, we proudly present Shane Turgeon — writer, collector, and tattoo and SF enthusiast. In 2002, Shane combined his two great passions — Star Wars collectibles and tattoos — and launched http://www.tattoosandtoys.com. This earned him a spot in Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Celebration convention as a guest lecturer and panelist on Star Wars collectibles and tattoos. In 2003, he founded the Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show (ECTCS), which has become one of the biggest events for collectors of pop culture merchandise. After recognizing the huge crossover between pop culture and the tattoo community, Shane started a unique business. He is the owner of Shades of Grey, a shop he describes as “the ultimate art fusion experience”. The shop combines an art gallery and tattoo studio with a retail store selling vintage toys, comic books, and other pop culture memorabilia.
